If you had to put your finger on it — like looking up a word in a dictionary — I would say writing is a multitude of disciplines. Like any craft, it is an art and there is a science to it as well. You can elevate your writing, but you will never truly master it. Anyone can write, and many people do. But the people who love it the most almost always hate it the most too.
